EPREL is a database established by the European Commission to provide information on the energy performance of household appliances, as mandated by the EU Energy Labelling Framework Regulation. It facilitates easy comparison of different product models. EPREL has two parts: public and compliance.

Public Part:

  • Helps consumers compare energy efficiency and other information on household appliances.
  • Fully accessible to the public since May 2022.

Compliance Part:

  • Requires suppliers to register models subject to EU energy labelling since 2019.
  • Contains confidential technical information for market surveillance authorities to verify compliance
